Barrow upon Soar is part of the local government district of Charnwood, and situated between Leicester and Loughborough. It is estimated to have a population of around 6,000.
The village lies to the east bank of the River Soar, and is close to the A6 allowing easy access into Loughborough and Leicester.
It is also home to the Barrow upon Soar Railway Station, allowing easy transport to London via Loughborough or Leicester.
